Welcome to Catstopia, a journey born out of love for cats and the desire to make a difference. My name is Autumn, and I am the proud creator and owner of Catstopia. Let me share our story and the mission behind our brand.

Newest Update 6/28/2023: Honoring the Legacy of Chicken Nugget

It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of our beloved feline companion, Chicken Nugget. Chicken was not just a cherished member of our family but also the inspiration behind Catstopia. Her playful spirit, loving nature, and endless curiosity brought immeasurable joy to our lives and served as the driving force behind our commitment to creating high-quality cat products.

Unfortunately, Chicken's health took a turn for the worse, and she battled with anemia and congestive heart failure. Despite our best efforts and the expertise of veterinary professionals, her condition deteriorated, and we had to say goodbye to our beloved furry friend. The pain of her loss is indescribable, and we miss her dearly every day.

In the wake of Chicken's passing, we have faced numerous challenges in continuing the business. The emotional toll has been immense, and it has been a struggle to find the strength to create and ship products that bring joy to other cats and their owners. However, we believe that Chicken's legacy deserves to live on, and we are determined to honor her memory by persevering.

We want to express our deepest gratitude to our loyal customers and supporters who have stood by us during this difficult time. Your messages of love, encouragement, and understanding have provided us with the strength to keep going. We are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support and the special connection we share through our shared love for our furry babies.

As we navigate this challenging period, please bear with us as we may experience delays in processing orders and responding to inquiries. We are doing our best to adapt to this new chapter in our journey while keeping Chicken's spirit alive in everything we do.

How It All Began...

Catstopia came into existence during a challenging time when my beloved cat, Chicken Nugget, was diagnosed with congestive heart failure at just 3 years old. Along with this, I was told that my baby was horribly anemic with PCV levels bouncing around 8-13% when the normal rate for cats is 25-40%.

Currently, as of 5/23/2023 she is still around a PCV level of 13% but we are working hard on getting her back up! We also have to get in to see additional specialists, as the ones we have already seen have been unable to determine a cause for her anemia. From parasites to other virus tests, our baby's illness is a medical mystery as of now. The only true diagnosis that the vets have confirmed is her congestive heart failure, which we are constantly treating.

Determined to provide her with the best care possible, I decided to create Catstopia. Paying for my baby's treatments has been an incredible financial burden. She was only diagnosed about 2 months ago. From constant check up's at the vet, to consistent medications that she has to take for the rest of her life. It has been a lot.

In the face of adversity, my boyfriend and I were inspired to create something truly remarkable—a brand dedicated to cats that would redefine the industry. Despite being burdened by existing debt (from Chicken Nuggets treatments), we knew we had to find a way to turn our vision into reality. With unwavering determination, my boyfriend fearlessly took on additional loans to help create Catstopia.

We've dedicated hours and days into this, sketching out our products, finding different manufacturers to assist in bringing them to life, collaborating with companies overseas, and much more to bring you all the greatest products we possibly can. We have tried our absolute best to be "unique" compared to other cat brands. We know you're all also tired of seeing the same cat scratchers. trees, and cat beds. Our goal was to bring you guys something new, something never seen before.

As a small business, Catstopia is a labor of love run by myself and my boyfriend. Every product we offer is a result of meticulous craftsmanship and a dedication to enhancing the lives of cats. Our mission is twofold: to bring joy and enrichment to feline companions everywhere and to generate funds for Chicken Nugget's ongoing treatment.

A Sad Update...

I have a heartbreaking update to share about Chicken Nugget's health. Recently, we took her to the vet after she had an incident where she peed herself. Our initial suspicion was a urinary tract infection due to the strain her heart disease medication puts on her kidneys. However, the reality turned out to be far more distressing.

During the vet visit, we received devastating news that Chicken Nugget's anemia has progressed rapidly. Her red blood cell count has plummeted to a mere 1.1%, while the average range is typically between 6% to 12%. This critical condition leaves her in desperate need of a blood transfusion, as her body is unable to replenish the red blood cells on its own.

Considering the significant risks and financial burdens associated with blood transfusions, our vet has prescribed three new medications as a last-ditch effort to address the underlying cause of her anemia. While these medications are comparatively less expensive, they still pose a significant financial strain, with no guarantees of success.

We are now hoping for a miracle as we navigate this difficult time. Our love and care for Chicken Nugget remains unwavering, and we are doing everything within our power to help her. We deeply appreciate the ongoing support and kindness shown by our Catstopia community. Your contributions, both financial and emotional, have been invaluable throughout this difficult process.
